Comfort Attendance Setup

A. Install the Google add-on Comfort Attendance 

Please choose one of the following options to have the attendance sheet:

✅ Option 1 – Generate Basic Attendance Sheet (Recommended for First-Time Users)

  • Open a new spreadsheet.
  • Go to Extensions > Set up web app. Follow the sidebar instruction carefully to generate the demo web app.
  • A basic attendance sheet with sample data, configuration and web app will be created automatically. 
  • First-time users can test with the sample data to get started quickly.

✅ Option 2 – Copy from a Template Sheet (For Users Who Pay for More)

✅ Option 3 – Use Your Existing Attendance Sheet (For Advanced Users)
  • Open your existing attendance spreadsheet. 
  • You will need to enter the configuration which matches your sheet.

B. Setting Up the Web App on the Attendance Sheet 
  • Go to Extensions > Set up web app. Follow the instructions on side bar to complete the web app. If needed, the steps with screenshots are in the Comfort Attendance web app setup procedures.

  • Use the link in the sidebar to open up the attendance web page from desktop or mobile browser. 

            

C. Using the Web App to View and Update the Attendance Sheet 
  • On the web page, click on the name to toggle the statuses which are defined in the configuration. 

  • Check the update on the attendance sheet.

  • To start a new attendance sheet, run the Open setup page function.

✅ Congratulations! Your attendance web app is now ready to use.
